The CABLE collection is dark and detailed. Featuring a variety of dark fabrics and unique details, this collection centers on a cable-knit organic cotton yarn that finds itself on a number of items. These pieces are complimented with original FADED interpretations of wool and moleskin, and all come together to form something quite heavy, in the best sense of the word.
The WELLINGTON collection continues in the quest to refine the idea of comfort. It explores modern takes on iconic styles and silhouettes and introduces a number of elements to the FADED catalogue, including Ottoman stylized knits and satin bombers, and evolving staples like the thermal long sleeve and the Japanese denim.
The DVP collection juxtaposes refined comfort with an air of rawness, featuring unfinished edges, repaired details, and heavy materials, including a 520 GSM cotton, DWR coated Moleskin, and oatmeal Merino wool. This collection was designed to feel gritty yet artful, which lent itself to being shot at the Aga Kahn museum, a stunning setting pressed up against the Don Valley Parkway.
EUCLID is inspired by twisting the everyday. It takes Canadian-made fabrics, silhouettes, and styles then refines them until they feel unique enough to stand out but basic enough to wear every day. With this in mind, SS17 introduces the 2-Piece Tee, a soft multi-texture shirt with no shoulder seams, and the Moleskin Trench + Cargos, all crafted with 100% cotton Moleskin and coated water/stain resistant DWR. Gradient colour tees, tanks, and long sleeves also make their first appearance in this collection, giving more options for those looking to layer.
The QUEEN collection is dedicated to texture. Raised cotton knits, subtle transparent weaves, and soft fleece linings help this small collection stand out in a big way. SS16 introduces hoodies, crewnecks, shorts, and sweats crafted with our all new texturized popcorn cotton knit as well as the Camel Trench – one of our softest and most refined pieces to date. Every detail from fabric to accents have been handcrafted in Toronto, Canada.
The QUEEN’S QUAY collection focuses on comfort and wearability, through pieces that can go from the sofa to the streets and back again. To help achieve this, we created a capsule collection with ONEMETH Goods, another Toronto brand that believes in quality, Canadian made apparel. Together, we crafted beanies, hoodies, crewnecks, sweats, and shorts that are locally made but globally worn.
CAMDEN is a collection of firsts. Gradient knotted textures, mini-ottoman ridge detailing, and jacquard knitting all make their first appearances for FADED in this collection. The result is a body of work that combine multiple textures, looks, and feels to create something entirely Canadian-made and completely new.
The PARKDALE collection is inspired by pushing the definition of comfort, style, and quality. Using locally sourced, hand-woven fabrics, this collection features classic silhouettes that have been recut, redesigned, and reimagined. From irregular stripped ottoman ridge detailing to custom zippers and pockets, The PARKDALE collection features Toronto-made crewnecks, hoodies, beanies, and sweats that are anything but ordinary.
LAKESHORE marked the introduction of piece knitwear and, more specifically, our signature irregular stripe. Here we would offer yet another way of combining textures, through the use of the irregular stripe and Milano knit, and ultimately push the idea of blending refinement with comfort.
SPADINA is both a starting point and a showcase of versatility. It features multiple textures and delicate detailing combined with a variety of locally sourced fabrics. And it all blends together seamlessly, creating a Canadian-made collection that travels with you. From a Mohair wool vest, to a waffle knit cardigan, to heather grey denim, and even a cotton jersey dress shirt, this collection offers choice without sacrificing quality.
The RICHMOND collection was the first ever full offering from FADED, featuring a number of elements including sweats and denim, tees and tanks, plus jackets and jewelry. Overall, it was a new approach to minimalistic luxury and would lead to the broader idea of comfort refined, a driving ethos behind everything FADED from that moment forward.
